The cards themselves are 400gsm and matte-laminated so they are durable and protected from sticky fingers. The gorgeous, eye-catching, drawer-box is premium quality and makes these perfect for gifting.

These are intended to be for ages 3+ with adult support and ages 6+ for independent learning.

The front of these flash cards include:
1) The letter in upper and lower case in an easy to read font.
2) The animal’s name.
3) Beautiful and realistic watercolour art by Australian artist Amanda Borchers. We know that realistic art is best for learning.

The back of the cards include:
1) The alphabet with the letter circled. Young learners can visualise the entire alphabet in order and see where the specific letter fits.

Modern Monty

Modern Monty founders Kelvin and Meg started out hand-making wooden teethers and toys in their Peregian Beach garage, but Modern Monty has now evolved to create a range of boutique, educational toys, flash cards, puzzles and games.

Meg has a degree in Applied Science and Psychology and a Masters of Counselling, along with 12 years experience working in psychology, mental health and clinical governance. Her knowledge of children’s development and learning theories has helped to ensure our products are engaging and educational.

Kelvin has a background in professional landscape photography, and has an artist’s eye for detail, ensuring the final product and packaging are beautiful and eye-catching.

Classic games and educational products have been reimagined to encourage a deep connection with the natural world, from a young age. We believe it’s important for children to learn about and appreciate nature. We intend our products to help nurture little conservationists while they also support the development of problem solving, strategy, early literacy and numeracy, social and communication skills and more.

Our ongoing collaboration with Australian artist and friend, Amanda Borchers, has led to our current range, with her stunning, watercolour art featured frequently. Amanda’s artwork truly captures the spirit of the wild and the time and skill that goes into each artwork makes our products extra special for gifting.

Our manufacturers are FSC certified, which means that they operate in an environmentally, economically and socially responsible way. All efforts are made to utilise natural and organic materials when we can and we are proud to offer a range of single use plastic-free, earth-friendly products with a number of our products being made from recycled cardboard.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY

READY TO SHIP: The turnaround time before shipment for ready to ship products is currently up to 7 business days due to high volumes of orders. While the Modern Monty team are working hard to get your order shipped as quickly as possible. The time your parcel will take to arrive to you after shipment, will vary depending on your location. Pre-order products will include an estimate of shipping times, however, please note the risk of delay with pre-orders. If pre-order products are ordered with ready to ship products, your entire order will be shipped once the pre-order product arrives. If you want the ready to ship items shipped separately please ensure you make two separate orders.

R E T U R N S  P O L I C Y

The Modern Monty return policy is in line with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)

Change of mind return or order cancellation for store credit:

If you have changed your mind about the purchase, including if your parcel has or will arrive later than you had hoped, you can return the parcel for store credit only. Returns for change of mind do not require a refund by law, as stated by ACCC Returns Policy information.

Lost parcel: If you have not received your parcel, despite your tracking indicating it has been delivered, please notify Modern Monty immediately. The courier company will be notified and a search will take place. Either your parcel will be found and delivered or it will be deemed lost, and Modern Monty will send a replacement.

Faulty product:

If you believe the product you have received in faulty, which includes damage or missing parts, you will be entitled to “repair”, replacement or refund.

Repair may include sending missing pieces. If the problem with a product is minor, such as a missing piece, you must accept a free repair as dictated by the ACCC

In most cases, where an issue is deemed as minor, repair or replacement will be offered.

If an issue is major, refund may be an option.
